Isle of Wight is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

Headon WarrenThe Isle of Wight is a really special place and has been recognised by becoming the UK’s latest UNESCO Biosphere Reserve – only 5 other areas in the UK have this status. These are unique areas of environmental significance in which communities strive to work hand in hand, innovatively and responsibly to protect and support the local environment and the world we all live in. Congratulations to the Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership who has made this happen.
