Isle of Wight NT £2.7 million purchase of Dunsbury Farm

Isle of Wight holiday cottagesThe National Trust has pulled off a £2.7 million purchase of Dunsbury Farm, just down the road from our Isle of Wight holiday cottages. This is the biggest coastal land acquisition the Trust has made in England for more than 20 years. The farm is adjacent to the Trust’s wildlife-rich chalk downland of Compton, home to 33 species of butterflies, and is crucial in securing the future of the rare Glanville fritillary butterfly.
