Keep watching the skies for white-tailed eagles!
Earlier this year white-tailed eagles were released on the Isle of Wight. This is the first stage of a 5 year programme to restore this lost species led by Forestry England & the Roy Dennis Wildlife Foundation. The young birds are from Scotland and have been fed and monitored and are now out in the wild. This week it was reported one bird has died and another is missing. This is very sad but such losses are unfortunately inevitable – the remaining birds are well so keep watching the skies!
