We appreciate you choosing our Isle of Wight holiday cottages for your 2020/21 holiday and the trust you place in West Wight Cottages. At this time of uncertainty, the health, well-being and happiness of you, your family and local community should be at the forefront of all decision making. The UK Government advice regarding travel is that the UK public leave their homes for only ‘very limited purposes’, such as shopping, exercise once a day, travel to/from work and medical purposes – essential travel only – as outlined in official guidelines. We have therefore taken the decision to no longer accept bookings for holiday guests arriving before 4th June 2020. See Visit Isle of Wight for up to date information on travel. Many of the Island’s attractions are closed temporarily and events are postponed so check their websites for up to date information.

For forward bookings we are contactable via phone and email. We can help you plan your holiday, arrange ferries, advise on public transport and provide you with all the information you need to enjoy your holiday.
We ask that you pay by direct bank transfer if you book via our West Wight Cottages website. You have additional options of Visa, MasterCard & PayPal if you book via our online partners Visit Isle of Wight, HomeAway, Holiday Lettings / TripAdvisor and Red Funnel Holidays. We require a deposit of £200 per rental week to secure your Isle of Wight holiday cottage – balance due dates are flexible for duration of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, please ask for details. If you cannot make your holiday dates please try and postpone rather than cancel.
We will send you a welcome pack ahead of your arrival which includes directions, key access and lots of ideas of what to see and do during your stay, including options if arriving or travelling around the Isle of Wight without a car.
Isle of Wight holiday cottage discounted ferry deals
We can book your ferry for you whether you are arriving at your Isle of Wight holiday cottage by car or on foot. Please ensure you book early for the school summer holidays. We offer discounted rates with:
- Wightlink – Lymington to Yarmouth (vehicle & foot passengers), Portsmouth to Fishbourne (vehicle & foot passengers – look out for the new environmentally ferry Victoria of Wight), Portsmouth to Ryde (foot passengers only)
- Red Funnel – Southampton to East Cowes (vehicles only). Ask if you would like discounts off attraction tickets or be upgraded to the Signature Lounge.
If you are arriving on foot we can also pre-book your tickets on HoverTravel.
Isle of Wight holiday cottage welcome
On arrival your Isle of Wight holiday cottage will be all prepared with fresh linen, towels and a welcome pack (7 night+ stays only, contents vary per cottage and provided by our local village shops in Brighstone and Shorwell + Freshwater Co-operative) waiting for you. We also have lots of information on what to see and do in the surrounding area. And of course your Isle of Wight holiday cottage will always be warm and cosy. Note not all of our Isle of Wight holiday cottages are open in winter.
If you are celebrating an event then let us know and we can make special arrangements to deliver flowers, chocolates etc to your Isle of Wight holiday cottage – whatever will make your stay more enjoyable.
