See Visit Isle of Wight for up to date information on travel. The Isle of Wight is currently “medium risk” and most Island attractions are open and the season has been extended well into autumn. We recommend you check each website (see below) for the most up to date information for what’s on offer and current safety measures.
Please consult UK Government guidance for current restrictions, especially if you live in areas with a local lockdown. All our properties host 6 or less guests so you can adhere to the “rule of six” – note separate households need to socially distance indoors. And do download and use the new NHS Test and Trace app. The QR code will be available in the cottage so please scan this upon your arrival.
We offer flexible payment terms and free cancellations if your holiday is impacted due to UK Government coronavirus restrictions – please ask for details.
We are contactable via phone and email. We can help you plan your holiday, arrange ferries and provide you with all the information you need to enjoy your holiday.
We ask that you pay by direct bank transfer if you book via our West Wight Cottages website. You have additional options of Visa, MasterCard & PayPal if you book via our online partners Visit Isle of Wight, HomeAway, Holiday Lettings / TripAdvisor, Red Funnel Holidays, and Airbnb. Isle of Wight holiday cottage discounted ferry deals
We can book your ferry for you whether you are arriving at your Isle of Wight holiday cottage by car or on foot. Please ensure you book early for the school summer holidays. We offer discounted rates with:
- Wightlink – Lymington to Yarmouth (vehicle & foot passengers), Portsmouth to Fishbourne (vehicle & foot passengers – look out for the new environmentally ferry Victoria of Wight), Portsmouth to Ryde (foot passengers only)
- Red Funnel – Southampton to East Cowes (vehicles only). Ask if you would like priority boarding or to be upgraded to the Signature Lounge (at extra cost)
If you are arriving on foot we can also pre-book your tickets on HoverTravel.
Isle of Wight holiday cottage welcome in these difficult times
We have been working hard to ensure our Isle of Wight holiday cottages are “COVID-19” secure and have taken extra steps as recommended by The Professional Association of Self-Caterers. In advance of your arrival we will have thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the cottage and where possible we will leave gaps between bookings. This season our welcome hamper will contain sealed produce that can be left for you to open when you are ready (contents differ per cottage). We will send you all relevant information on the cottage and places to visit in advance by email and remove or rotate any paper based information, books, videos etc which could be handled by others. Hand sanitiser will be provided.
We will not greet you in person but we are here if you have any problems or need help during your stay. We live on the Island so do not hesitate to contact ourselves or our housekeepers – contact details in your welcome pack. We wear face coverings and aim to keep a social distance of 2m if we need to visit you.
